Septiembre de 2017 marcó el comienzo de nuevas direcciones para el viaje de salud de Sai Sanjeevani. Después de establecer Centros de Cuidado Infantil Totalmente Gratis en Naya Raipur, Chhattisgarh y Palwal, Haryana, Sri Sathya Sai Health & Education Trust está listo para dar su siguiente paso en Maharashtra. Shri C Sreenivas , Presidente, SSSHET se reunió con Shri Devendra Fadnavis , Ministro Principal de Maharashtra junto con Bharat Ratna Sachin Tendulkar para establecer el Centro Nacional de Atención Cardiaca Pediátrica Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani en Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra.

Continuamos expandiendo el Programa Divine Mother & Child Health con el Departamento de Medicina Comunitaria lanzando la Iniciativa GRUPO DE APOYO MADRE para mujeres embarazadas rurales en este auspicioso mes de la adoración de la Diosa Durga. Los Hospitales también lanzaron la INTEGRAL HUMAN TRANSFORMATION Initiative, que es un programa a largo plazo para medir el Impacto Transformativo del Cuidado Cardíaco Infantil Totalmente Libre.

Las iniciativas de capacitación y desarrollo continúan con el Seminario sobre Enfermedades Congénitas del Corazón para Pediatría en Sai Sanjeevani, Palwal y el Dr. Rangathan , Consultor de Anestesia Cardíaca, Hospital Real, Muscat en el trabajo de capacitación para personal de OT & ICU y Sai Sanjeevani, Naya Raipur.

En el frente académico, El Dr. Atul Prabhu , cardiólogo pediátrico del Hospital Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani, Naya Raipur, presentó en el primer simposio de India sobre la fibrilación auricular y las arritmias ventriculares, Nueva Delhi.

Por último, el programa DOCTORS FOR COMPASSION vio la participación enérgica de jóvenes inspirados de Malasia - Dr Mahendra, Dr Shakll, Dr Luveeniya, Tushaaraam y Sai Sudarshan. Este equipo representó las innumerables actividades desinteresadas emprendidas por la juventud de Sai Ananda en Malasia y difundió esa energía entre el personal de Sai Sanjeevani Naya Raipur y Palwal.

CIRUGÍAS (septiembre de 2017)

75 Las cirugías cardíacas pediátricas se realizaron en septiembre de 2017 y3721 cirugías se han realizado en el Hospital Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani, Naya Raipur desde el inicio en noviembre de 2012, con pacientes procedentes de todo el país y otros países en desarrollo.

SERVICIOS PARA PACIENTES
(Septiembre de 2017)

Se registraron 920 registros ambulatorios durante el mes - 602nuevos casos pediátricos, y 318 revisan y seguimiento de los casos pediátricos.

De un total de 1145 ECHOs realizados este mes, 602 son nuevos casos cardíacos pediátricos como se muestra en la tabla a continuación. También se realizaron 225 exámenes postoperatorios de pacientes hospitalizados y 318 revisiones y ECOs de seguimiento médico.

SERVICIOS AMBIENTALES CARDIACOS PEDIÁTRICOS (Nov 2016 - Septiembre 2017)

Desde el inicio del Hospital en noviembre de 2016, 1955 ambulatorios cardíacos pediátricos han sido examinados y manejados con pacientes procedentes de 17estados del país - Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Gujarat, Jharkhand, Jammu y Cachemira, Odisha, Punjab, Manipur, Rajasthan, Uttarahand, Bengala Occidental, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra y Madhya Pradesh.

CIRUGÍAS CARDIACAS PEDIÁTRICAS (abril de 2017 - septiembre de 2017)

112 Se han llevado a cabo cirugías cardíacas pediátricas y 150 intervenciones de cateterismo pediátrico desde el inicio hasta septiembre de 2017 en el Centro Internacional Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani para la Atención e Investigación del Corazón Infantil, Baghola, Palwal, Haryana. 17 Se realizaron cirugías cardíacas pediátricas y 45 intervenciones de cateterismo pediátrico en el mes de septiembre de 2017.

Departamento de Cirugía Cardiaca Pediátrica realizó su 100ª cirugía en el mes de septiembre. En un corto lapso de 4 meses el equipo médico ha logrado esta hazaña.Para conmemorar este logro, el equipo médico celebró trayendo alegría a Little Aleena en su cumpleaños. Aleena y sus padres estaban encantados con este dulce gesto del equipo quirúrgico.

Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Hospital comenzó el PROGRAMA DIVINO DE SALUD DE LAS MADRES Y NIÑOS , un programa global para la Maternidad Saludable Infancia Saludable. El programa comenzó en los pueblos de Parsada, Chhattisgarh y Baghola, Haryana. GRUPO DE APOYO A LA MADRE

Iniciando una nueva Iniciativa para las mujeres embarazadas, formando "Grupos de Apoyo de la Madre " para capacitar a las mujeres embarazadas y sus familias con la información correcta y el apoyo de dentro de la comunidad.

SEMINARIO SOBRE LAS ENFERMEDADES CARDÍACAS CONGÉNITAS PARA LOS PAEDIATRICOS DE PALWAL DIST

Sai Sanjeevani organizó un seminario sobre Enfermedades Congénitas del Corazón-Papel de un pediatra en la detección temprana para los doctores de Palwal. Juventud de Sai Ananda, Malasia

Septiembre vio la participación enérgica de la juventud inspirada de Malasia como parte del programa DOCTORS FOR COMPASSION - Dr Mahendra, Dr Shakil, Dr Luveeniya, Tushaaraam y Sai Sudarshan. Este equipo representó las innumerables actividades desinteresadas emprendidas por la juventud de Sai Ananda en Malasia y difundió esa energía entre el personal de Sai Sanjeevani Naya Raipur y Palwal.

El equipo pasó 2 semanas en el hospital a través de varios departamentos incluyendo el OT, laboratorio de la catedral, ambulatorio, ICU, salas, oficina delantera, programa divino de la salud del niño, desarrollo de la organización, desayuno Seva y cantina.

Todo el programa representaba un maravilloso intercambio de amor entre el equipo de Sai Sanjeevani y los jóvenes de Sai Ananda. Mientras que el personal de Sai Sanjeevani proporcionó un contexto comprensivo de su trabajo y el modelo libre de costo, el equipo desarrolló una relación hermosa con los pacientes del hospital que les daba más razones para sonreír cada día, particularmente con las galletas y los chocolates de Ananda Cares, una iniciativa del equipo para asegurar los medios de subsistencia para los desfavorecidos del país.

" Antes de ir a los hospitales Raipur y Delhi Sathya Sai Sanjeevani, estábamos desorientados de nuestro propósito de ir allí. September 2017 ushered new directions to the Sai Sanjeevani Healthcare Journey. After establishing Totally Free of Cost Child Heart Care Centres at Naya Raipur, Chhattisgarh and Palwal, Haryana, Sri Sathya Sai Health & Education Trust is all set to take its next step in Maharashtra. Shri C Sreenivas, Chairman, SSSHET met Shri Devendra Fadnavis, Chief Minister of Maharashtra along with Bharat Ratna Sachin Tendulkar for establishing the Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani National Centre for Pediatric Cardiac Care at Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra.

We continued to expand the Divine Mother & Child Health Program with the Department for Community Medicine launching the MOTHER SUPPORT GROUP Initiative for rural pregnant women in this auspicious month of the worship of Goddess Durga. The Hospitals also launched the INTEGRAL HUMAN TRANSFORMATION Initiative which is a long term program to measure the Transformative Impact of Totally Free of Cost Child Heart Care.

Training & Development initiatives continue with the Seminar on Congenital Heart Diseases for Pediatrics at Sai Sanjeevani, Palwal and Dr Rangathan, Consultant Cardiac Anesthesia, Royal Hospital, Muscat conducting On the job training for OT & ICU staff & Sai Sanjeevani, Naya Raipur.

On the academic front, Dr Atul Prabhu, Pediatric Cardiologist, Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Hospital, Naya Raipur presented at India's First atrial fibrillation and Ventricular Arrhythmias symposium, New Delhi.

Finally, the DOCTORS FOR COMPASSION program saw the energetic participation of inspired youth from Malaysia – Dr Mahendra, Dr ShakIl, Dr Luveeniya, Tushaaraam and Sai Sudarshan. SURGERIES (September 2017)

75 Pediatric Cardiac surgeries were conducted in September 2017 and 3721 surgeries have been conducted at Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Hospital, Naya Raipur since Inception in Nov 2012, with patients coming from all over the country and other developing countries.

Out of a total of 1145 ECHOs performed this month, 602 are new pediatric cardiac cases as shown in the table below. Also 225 post-operative inpatient screenings and 318 revisit and medical follow up ECHOs were performed.

PEDIATRIC CARDIAC OUTPATIENT SERVICES (Nov 2016 - September 2017)

Since the inception of the Hospital in November 2016, 1955 pediatric cardiac outpatients haven been screened and managed with patients coming from 17 states of the country - Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Gujarat, Jharkhand, Jammu & Kashmir, Odisha, Punjab, Manipur, Rajasthan, Uttarahand, West Bengal, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh.

PEDIATRIC CARDIAC SURGERIES (Apr 2017 - September 2017)

112 Pediatric Cardiac surgeries and 150 Pediatric Cath Interventions have been conducted since inception till Sept 2017 at Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani International Centre for Child Heart Care & Research, Baghola, Palwal, Haryana. 17 Pediatric Cardiac surgeries and 45 Pediatric Cath Interventions were conducted in the month of Sept 2017.

Department of Pediatric Cardiac Surgery performed its 100th surgery in the month of September. Within a short span of 4 months the medical team has achieved this feat. To commemorate this achievement, the medical team celebrated by bringing joy to Little Aleena on her birthday. Aleena and her parents were thrilled by this sweet gesture of the surgery team.

Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Hospital began the DIVINE MOTHER & CHILD HEALTH PROGRAM , a global program towards Healthy Motherhood Healthy Childhood. The program began in the villages of Parsada, Chhattisgarh and Baghola, Haryana. The program at Sai Sanjeevani, Naya Raipur included extensive screening program for pregnant women followed by Diet and Nutrition training couseling.

PROGRAM- GLOBAL UPDATES

DIVINE MOTHER AND CHILD HEALTH PROGRAMME was launched globally on 1st September 2017 to screen little children and pregnant women. Below are a few snapshots from Fiji, Malaysia, Singapore,Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Australia and India. Close to 1500 children and 100 pregnant women were screened during the inaugural launch event from different parts of the world.

MOTHER SUPPORT GROUP

Kickstarting a new Initiative for pregnant women by forming "Mother Support Groups" to empower pregnant women and their families with the right information and support from within the community.

This Navratri, as we worship Goddess Ma Durga seeking her blessings, we dedicate this 'Útsav' all beneficiary would-be mothers and hope to slowly and steadily bring about a positive change therein.

Dr Rangathan has 16 years of Pediatric and Adult Anesthesia and Critical Care experience across various Indian and International Hospitals. Paasionate about Institutional Learning and Development, Dr Ranganathan spent 5 days at the Hospital contributing in surgeries and taking up learning classes for the Hospital staff.

" The epithet of "serve all and love all" being practiced at the SSSSH has been a humbling experience for me. In the world of sky high price brackets for paediatric cardiac surgical procedures. ....The delivery of quality health care for complex congenital heart diseases for the needy and poor is quiet an achievement. The professional approach of the staff and doctors who work here single minded to mend the broken hearts of small kids with a lot of love is commendable.

The striking feature was the attitude of the staff here to learn more so that they can serve better is evident from my interactions with the nurses, doctors, perfusionists, and all the team members...I wish the hospital many more success by the grace of the almighty to keep marching this way. I am sure with the opening of the new cathlab facility the care will improve by leaps . I thank one and all for hosting me and letting me interact with all. "

SEMINAR ON CONGENITAL HEART DISEASES FOR PAEDIATRICIANS FROM PALWAL DIST

Sai Sanjeevani organized a seminar on Congenital Heart Diseases- Role of a Paediatrician in early detection for the doctors of Palwal.About 13 Paediatricians and Ground Level staff of WHO attended this seminar. Dr Munesh Tomar- Director-Department of Paediatric Cardiology presented 15 different case studies which would was mainly aimed at equipping the Paediatricians to understand the nature of disease and the recommending the right course of action for the child suffering from CHD.

New Delhi.

Dr Atul gave a talk on Smart phone based arrhythmia detection and presented an interesting case of Ventricular tachycardia in an operated child with complex congenital heart disease at India's First Atrial Fibrillation and Ventricular Arrhythmias symposium organised by Super specialty pediatric hospital and Post graduate training institute, Noida.

Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Hospital, Naya Raipur launched a Breakfast Seva Program this month for 300 students of the Primary and Secondary Government schools of Dharampura, Raipur. The program also saw active participation from the school administration and staff & volunteers from Sai Sanjeevani.

Sai Sanjeevani's Totally Free of Cost Child Heartcare is a mission aimed at spreading this goodness and to make these little children into contributory members of the society. An IMPACT TEAM sits with the patient attendants at the time of Discharge to understand howthis free of cost medical care has impacted theeir 6 dimensions of Human Transformation- Physical, Financial, Educational,Transformational, Social and Psychological. This exercise will be carried out every year till the child grows into a contributing member of the society.

September saw the energetic participation of inspired youth from Malaysia as part of the DOCTORS FOR COMPASSION program – Dr Mahendra, Dr Shakil, Dr Luveeniya, Tushaaraam and Sai Sudarshan. This team represented the countless selfless activities undertaken by the youth of Sai Ananda in Malaysia and spread that energy amongst the staff of Sai Sanjeevani Naya Raipur and Palwal.

The team spent 2 weeks at the Hospital across various Departments including the OT, Cath Lab, Outpatient, ICU, Wards, Front Office, Divine Child Health Program, Organization Development, Breakfast Seva & Canteen.

The entire program stood for a wonderful exchange of love between the Sai Sanjeevani team and the youth from Sai Ananda. While the Sai Sanjeevani staff provided a comprehensive context of their work and the Free of Cost model, the team developed a beautiful relationship with the patients of the Hospital giving them more reasons to smile each day, particularly with the cookies and chocolates of Ananda Cares, an initiative of the team towards ensuring livelihoods for the underprivileged of the country.

" Before going to Raipur and Delhi Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Hospitals, we were clueless of our purpose of going there. But, in no time, we realized that, Swami had wanted us to witness with our own eyes the exemplary attitude of doctors and staffs there. These world class doctors and staffs are so efficient at their work, yet they are so humble. What inspired us most is that these hospitals put patient's welfare as their top most priority and also the amount of dedication doctors and staffs there have towards their work. For the first time, we saw doctors not eating or resting till they have finish seeing all patients.

Besides that everyone at the hospital were so welcoming and we became one with them like a family. From the bottom of my heart, we would like to thank Swami for giving us this golden opportunity to witness and experience selfless service and love rendered by everyone in these hospitals. The beautiful experiences, knowledge and memories gained from this trip will surely remain forever in our hearts. A heartfelt gratitude to Sri C.Sreenivas Sir and his team for the kind hospitality and love.
